Car crash captured in video
In a video obtained by Metro Detroit News, a dark-colored Mercedes smashed into a Delta ticket counter as bystanders at the airport watched from afar. Meanwhile, other clips show that the driver of the car, who was apparently wearing a black Detroit Lions jersey, is seen yelling something incoherently as airport security tries to detain him, according to PEOPLE.
In the footage obtained by CBS News, the impact of the crash was visible, which included the broken ticket kiosk and the entrance to the terminal, which the car went through to enter inside.
Firefighters were seen pushing aside damaged door frames that were barely hanging on their hinges. Delta Airlines told CBS News in a statement there was no operational impact.
