Olmos disappeared from her home on early Christmas Eve morning (December 24, 2025). According to authorities, she was last seen leaving her residence and carrying only her car keys. Her family believed that she was going on her regular walk.
In the short video released by the Bexar County sheriff, a person was seen whose clothes match those worn by the teenager when she was last seen leaving her house in northwest Bexar County just before 7 AM on December 24, 2025.
“A passing driver traveling on Wildhorse Pkwy that morning captured footage believed to show Camila walking northbound on Wildhorse Pkwy around 7:00 a.m., between Shetland Wind and Caspian Spring. This is the last confirmed sighting investigators currently have,” the Bexar County sheriff said in an Instagram post.
Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar on the video
"If this is indeed her, we've got what we believe to be a good direction of flight," Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar told reporters at a news conference Monday. "We're sharing that information, that video, with you all in hopes that somebody may have collected similar video up to this point," Salazar added.
Unidentified body found
On December 30, 2025 (Tuesday), Salazar, in a news briefing, said that authorities found a body in a field "very close" to Olmos' home as they searched for the teen just hours prior. Salazar also said that it was "too early" to confirm if the body was Olmos'. He also said that no ‘foul play’ is suspected.
“We've got several different theories working, and we've got to, you know, make the theories that we're working upon run the whole gamut of possibilities. You know, we do have, unfortunately, some indications of suicidal ideations from this young lady in the past,” Salazar said.
“We do know that there were some depression issues in the past, but as a young person, what young person doesn't have bouts of depression at a certain point? So, we can't necessarily afford to just say, "Oh, well, that must be what it is," he further stated.
“We've got to consider all possibilities, from disappearing willfully to the possibility of self-harm to somebody who may have taken her. Uh maybe, you know, after this video, uh somebody may have taken her. And so, we've got to consider all possibilities at this point,” he continued.
