Becks Prime restaurant closing Wilcrest diner after 35 years; see the remaining locations in Texas

The Becks Prime restaurant closing marks the end of an era for Houston burger lovers, as the beloved local chain confirmed it will shut down one of its longest-running diners after nearly four decades. The Becks Prime restaurant is closing its Wilcrest location in Houston, Texas, on Sunday, February 8, which will permanently shut its doors after 35 years of operation. Shared directly with customers, the decision places the Wilcrest diner among a growing list of restaurant closures this month, bringing a close to a longtime neighborhood fixture.

“For 35 years, this restaurant has been part of your routines and part of our story,” the announcement read. “We’ve watched families grow up here, met regulars who feel like friends, and shared countless everyday moments that mean more to us than we can say. “We are grateful to everyone who walked through those doors and chose to spend time with us.”

Fans will have limited time to visit the Wilcrest diner one last time, as the Becks Prime restaurant closing is scheduled for 4 p.m. on Sunday, when the location will shut its doors for good.

The company confirmed that all employees from the Wilcrest restaurant have been relocated to other Becks Prime locations. In replies to concerned customers, the chain said the closure follows the end of a “long-term lease.”

Despite the closure, Becks Prime will continue operating nine remaining locations across Texas:
