5-month-old baby girl dies under mysterious circumstances at Best Western hotel in Pennsylvania - Check cause of death

A tragic incident was reported at the Best Western Plus Intercourse Village Inn & Suites in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, where a 5-month-old baby girl was found unresponsive after a reported drowning. According to multiple media reports, citing the Pennsylvania State Police, the incident took place on Monday, May 11. Emergency services were called to the hotel after concerns were raised about the infant’s condition. Despite immediate medical efforts, the baby could not be revived.

The dispatcher was informed that the child had gone into cardiac arrest after being pulled from the water, according to PEOPLE. When first responders reached the scene, they immediately began resuscitation efforts. However, despite their attempts to revive the infant, they were unsuccessful. The baby was later pronounced dead at the scene.

According to WGAL, the investigation into the child’s death involves Pennsylvania State Police, the Lancaster County District Attorney’s Office, and the Department of Human Services’ Office of Children, Youth, and Families. Authorities said the baby’s mother is cooperating with the ongoing inquiry. The Lancaster County Coroner’s Office is reportedly scheduled to conduct an autopsy to determine the exact cause and manner of death. The case remains under active investigation as officials work to establish further details surrounding the incident.
