Where was Nick Reiner after Rob Reiner and his wife were found dead in their Brentwood home?

Nick Reiner was reportedly not at the Brentwood home of his parents, Hollywood director Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele Singer Reiner, when their dead bodies were discovered. ABC News reported that Nick Reiner, 32, had left the Brentwood residence and traveled a short distance away before police located him near the University of Southern California campus. Authorities were able to “quickly” find him in the area, and he was arrested on suspicion of murder at around 9:15 p.m. on Sunday, December 14, the outlet said.

PEOPLE, citing the Los Angeles Police Department’s public information officer, reported that Reiner was arrested in the Exposition Park area near USC, which is located across the street from USC and about 4 miles southeast of Downtown Los Angeles.

Earlier, Los Angeles police said in a statement that Nick Reiner, the son of Rob and Michele Singer Reiner, is “responsible” for the deaths of his parents. However, authorities have not yet released details about how the victims died or how investigators concluded that their son was responsible.


Police confirmed that Nick Reiner is being held without bail. The case is expected to be presented to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office for filing consideration on December 16, according to authorities.

Reiner’s daughter, Romy Reiner, was the one who discovered her parents after they were attacked inside their home. Another source said Nick Reiner was seen arguing with his father during a holiday party at Conan O’Brien’s Los Angeles home on Saturday, a day before the bodies were found, CNN reported citing a source.
