Fresh details have surfaced in the death of Victoria Jones, daughter of veteran actor Tommy Lee Jones. The 34-year-old , who was found dead at Fairmont hotel in San Francisco early Thursday morning (January 1, 2026), was facing charges of public intoxication, according to TMZ. She resisted a peace officer before her tragic death on New Year’s day.

According to reports, the emergency dispatch audio indicated it was a suspected overdose. Court documents accessed by TMZ claimed that Victoria is accused of being in a public place while under the influence of toluene.

What is Toluene?

According to the National Institutes of Health, toluene is an inhaled solvent "voluntarily used by adolescents and adults for their euphorigenic effects." Voluntary inhalation of organic solvents, such as toluene, is particularly prevalent in adolescent populations and is considered to be a contributing factor to substance use and dependence later in life, NIH said.

According to TMZ, the case stems from an alleged incident from May 14, 2025, in Santa Cruz, and was still active at the time of her death. Victoria was set to attend a pretrial conference scheduled for January 27.

She pleaded not guilty.

In June 2025, Victoria was detained again in Napa County and charged with misdemeanor domestic battery. She entered a not guilty plea on July 1, 2025.
