What happened inside the restaurant
According to surveillance footage obtained and reported by TMZ, the altercation began on the evening of April 15, 2026, while Ice Spice was seated with a friend in a booth at a Hollywood McDonald’s. A woman later identified as Vayah approached their table, attempted to sit with them, and engaged in a brief exchange that quickly escalated. When Ice Spice and her companion attempted to decline the interaction, the woman slapped the rapper directly in the face.
Footage from inside the restaurant shows Ice Spice reacting to the strike as other patrons and staff attempt to de-escalate the situation. After the slap, she is seen moving across tables in pursuit of her assailant before the scuffle is pushed outside by bystanders.
Escalation outside and social media spread
Once the confrontation moved outside, tensions continued. In the exterior video, Ice Spice appears to break a phone belonging to an associate of the woman who initially attacked her. Other individuals were seen involved in verbal disputes and sporadic physical contact as the situation unfolded in the parking lot and on the adjacent street.
Attorney’s statement and legal actions
Ice Spice’s attorney, Bradford Cohen, described the incident as an “unprovoked attack” in a statement shared with the media. Cohen confirmed that a report has been filed with the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), and that the rapper’s legal team plans to pursue both criminal charges against the alleged attacker as well as civil action potentially against McDonald’s for what they argue was insufficient security at the location.
Cohen’s statement underscores that law enforcement involvement is active, although no formal charges have yet been announced by LAPD, nor has the department issued an official press release regarding the filing at this time.
