.APD confirmed that they are working with the U.S. Marshals Service to locate and arrest the 68-year-old actor whose location was unknown at the time of filing of this report. There was no immediate response on the matter from the US Marshals Service.

What does arrest warrant reveal about charges against Busfield?
In a warrant obtained by PEOPLE, the APD alleged that two teenage boys whose identities were not revealed were the subject of sex crimes by Busfield. In the warrant, Officer Marvin Brown revealed that one of the minors alleged that the incidents began when he was 7 years old. The ‘Field of Dreams’ actor is married to Melissa Gilbert.
The warrant further revealed that an investigation into Busfield began in November 2024, after a doctor at the University of New Mexico Hospital (UNMH) alerted police about alleged sexual abuse.
The victims' parents told Brown that the minors were child actors who met the actor and director on the set of the TV series 'The Cleaning Lady', where he served as a director. The television show ran from January 2022 until June 2025.
Victims' mother filed police report in 2025
In October 2025, the mother of the victims filed a police report and told Child Protective Services (CPS) that "her children both disclosed that there was sexual abuse by Timothy from around November 2022 to spring 2024," as quoted by PEOPLE.
The warrant said that despite her complaint, no action was taken because physical abuse had not occurred. During an investigation, Busfield allegedly told police that the parents were upset their sons had been replaced with a younger actor who auditioned.
