‘The Night Agent’ Season 3 out on Netflix
Season 3 of the Netflix show ‘The Night Agent was released on February 19, 2026 (Thursday). The latest installment of the political thriller show picks up after the explosive events of Season 2. Peter is sent to track down a young Treasury agent who has fled to Istanbul with sensitive government intel after killing his boss.

‘The Night Agent’ Season 3 dives deep into the dark side of finance and its links to terrorism and political corruption at the highest levels, leading to the White House.

Season 3 also confirmed the new U.S. President Richard Hagan, played by Ward Horton, is under the control of shady intelligence broker Jacob Monroe, played by Louis Herthum. As the show progresses and the story unfolds, it is revealed that it was actually the First Lady (Jennifer Morrison) who made a deal with Monroe when her husband’s campaign was floundering.

Shawn Ryan on ‘The Night Agent’ season 4: What’s in store?

Following the release of Season 3 of ‘The Night Agent’, creator and showrunner Shawn Ryan spoke to Deadline about the future of the Netflix thriller series and dropped hints about Season 4. In an interview with Deadline, Ryan gave major clues about the Los Angeles-set potential fourth season, which has not been ordered yet and is currently in the writers' room. He is expecting a decision in the next few weeks.

Deadline also reported in November 2025 that ‘The Night Agent’ was awarded a California tax credit, which nearly confirmed that the series will be set in Los Angeles in season 4, moving out from New York.

Ryan said that the world in Season 4 is a secret. “There’s a world that we’re in; it’s a world that exists in Los Angeles, which is the creative reason why we moved the show to Los Angeles, because it’s a world that is present in Los Angeles; it’s not present in New York for the most part,” he told Deadline. He also confirmed that it's not Hollywood.

While speaking to Deadline, he further stated that “there’s something in the Los Angeles region that exists at a much bigger level than New York." He left the onus on fans to solve the mystery.
