Scum of the Brave announces Cour 2 opening and ending themes in new promo

A new trailer and visual for the anime Scum of the Brave have been released, offering a preview of its snowy second cour along with the next set of theme songs and additional cast members. The latest promotional video confirms that w.o.d. will perform the new ending theme titled “NON-FICTION.” The group previously contributed an opening theme to Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War – The Separation. Meanwhile, ClariS will handle the new opening theme song “Revive,” following their earlier work on Lycoris Recoil.



Two additional cast members were also announced. Tomokazu Sugita will voice “Priest” Hijiri Awashima, while Ayumu Murase joins as the “Cracking Sacred Map” Lord. Sugita is widely known for voicing Gintoki Sakata in Gintama, and Murase is recognized for portraying Iruma Suzuki in Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun.



The series is directed by Shinji Ushiro at OLM, with series composition by Yoichi Kato. Rika Murakami creates the character designs, while Kenichiro Suehiro writes the music.

Set in mid-21st century Tokyo, the story imagines a world where mafia figures can transform into ether-enhanced Demon Lords, while Braves are tasked with hunting them down. The narrative follows Yashiro, the Grim Reaper, who reluctantly takes on a new apprentice, Aki Jogamine, a high school girl training to become a Brave, as crunchyroll summarizes. The pair soon become entangled in a series of supernatural cases, forming the core of a darkly comedic master-and-apprentice story.
