Carla Jeffery, known for her role as Bree in Disney’s Zombies franchise and her appearance on Shake It Up, has died at the age of 33. Her manager, Carla Alexander, confirmed in an Instagram post on Wednesday (September 2, 2026) that Jeffery passed away on Tuesday, September 1, 2026.

In the post Carla Jeffery’s manager Carla Alexander said, "It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our beloved Carla Jeffery, who passed away on September 1, 2026, at just 33 years old. Carla joined the Alexanders Talent Management family at the age of 12. For more than 20 years, we had the privilege of watching her grow into a beautiful, vibrant, and incredibly talented woman whose radiant smile could light up any room.”

“As Bree in Disney’s hit ZOMBIES franchise, Carla shared her joy, humor, and bright spirit with audiences around the world. Carla was more than a client; she was family. Our hearts are with Carla’s family and loved ones during this devastating time. We respectfully ask that their privacy be honored as they grieve this unimaginable loss. Rest beautifully, Carla. Your light will never be forgotten," the post further read.


Alexander's Talent Management said in the Instagram post: “We will remember her infectious smile, her laughter, her talent, and the beautiful light she carried everywhere she went. Our deepest love and condolences are with Carla’s family and loved ones. We ask that their privacy be respected during this incredibly difficult time. Rest beautifully, Carla. You will be deeply missed and forever loved,” the post added.



The post featured a recent picture of Jeffery alongside an image of her portraying the cheerleader Bree in Zombies.

Carla Jeffery launched her acting career at age 12, debuting opposite Mo’Nique in the 2006 feature film Phat Girlz. That initial breakthrough set off a vibrant run across her youth and teenage years, earning her memorable appearances in Disney fan favorites such as ‘Shake It Up,’ ‘Good Luck Charlie,’ and the hit ‘Zombies’ franchise.

As her career progressed, she demonstrated her wide artistic range through guest spots on acclaimed television shows, including Suburgatory, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, and Scream Queens.
