Quinton Aaron, the actor who played Michael Oher in "The Blind Side," is fighting for his life after he was admitted to a hospital following a collapse at his home. A major update has surfaced suggesting that he was showing some positive signs for his recovery, according to TMZ.

Speaking to TMZ, Margarita, Quinton's wife, said that the medical devices that were helping in keeping him alive aren't doing all the work, and he's partially breathing on his own.

TMZ learned that Quinton, who is currently on life support, has been hospitalized for four days now. In a ray of hope for the family, Quinton is showing more signs of improvement with each passing day. His wife has said that he has a blood infection, and doctors are still running a series of tests to identify the source of the issue.

Timeline of events

Margarita, who is a registered nurse, told TMZ that Quinton, her husband, woke up one morning feeling sore. Initially she thought that it was from a bad sleep. Things got worse a few days later with pain still in his neck and his back. Quinton lost feeling in his legs when he was walking up the stairs.

Quinton's wife further said that she rushed to his side and helped him up the stairs. After he lay down, she called 911. The actor was slipping in and out of consciousness on his way to the hospital. Upon his arrival at the hospital, doctors recommended life support.
