Oscars 2026 When and Where to Watch: The 98th edition of Academy Awards, also known as Oscars, is here. Hollywood’s most anticipated night has arrived as the film industry comes together to celebrate a year of cinema. The prestigious awards ceremony will be held on Sunday, March 15, 2026, at the Dolby® Theatre at Ovation Hollywood and will be televised and streamed live in more than 200 territories worldwide.

Many of the biggest names in Hollywood will assemble at the Dolby Theatre for the 2026 Oscars, where this year’s nominees will learn whether their work has earned them the highly coveted gold-plated statuette. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences is the world's premier film organization and is home to a global membership of more than 11,000 of the most accomplished film industry artists and leaders, according to Oscars press release

Oscars 2026: When and where to watch in UK and Scotland

ITV holds the UK broadcast rights for the Academy Awards, with Oscars Live beginning at 10:15pm GMT on ITV1 and the streaming platform ITVX.

Viewers in Central and Northern Scotland can watch the ceremony through ITV’s Scottish counterpart, STV, and via the STV Player. Jonathan Ross will host the live coverage starting at 10:15pm, joined by a panel including Elle Osili Wood, Samson Kayo and Fred Asquith.

The Academy Awards coverage will continue into the early hours of Monday morning (March 16, 2026), with the ceremony expected to conclude around 2:35am UK time, although the exact end time may vary.
