Ame is the real-world persona behind the in-universe streamer OMGkawaiiAngel in the original NEEDY STREAMER OVERLOAD game, where players take on the role of her producer. Despite the new promotional material, the anime’s production team has not yet revealed Ame’s voice actor, keeping details under wraps.
The series is scheduled to begin airing on April 4 at 24:30 JST (effectively April 5 at 12:30 JST) and will be included in Crunchyroll’s Spring 2026 lineup. The original multi-ending game debuted on Steam in 2022 before expanding to Nintendo Switch later that year and launching on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 in 2025. Development credits list WSS playground and xemono.
The franchise has previously spawned official animated shorts, and a 4-koma manga illustrated by Kokamumo is set to debut on social media on the same day as the anime’s premiere.
