Tina Campbell, one half of the gospel duo Mary Mary, and her husband Glendon “Teddy” Campbell appear to be heading toward divorce after more than two decades of marriage. TMZ reported, citing court documents, Glendon filed for divorce on Monday, April 13. The couple, who married in August 2000, had been together for nearly 26 years.

In the filing, he reportedly stated that the pair had been separated since June 2024 and cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split. The estranged couple share two minor children, 13-year-old Santana and 16-year-old Glendon Theodore II, as per the Daily Mail, citing the divorce papers.

Campbell, 51 rose to prominence as part of Mary Mary, a widely recognized gospel music duo. Her husband is also an accomplished musician, known for his work as a drummer, including a multi-year stint with the house band on The Tonight Show during the 2000s and 2010s, as well as performances connected to American Idol. More recently, he has served as a lead singer for the Soul Seekers, according to Daily Mail.

The couple’s relationship has previously faced public challenges with a cheating scandal. In an appearance on comedian-turned-talk show host Steve Harvey on December 9, 2015, Campbell disclosed her husband’s infidelity, revealing that the affair involved someone close to the family.

"The person who it was, she used to work for me, and so, that broke my heart. She was like a godmother to my children," Tina told the Harvey that time. "She had access to my home, to come get my kids, and all that kind of stuff. [She] was very intermixed in my family."

Campbell, who authored the book I Need a Day to Pray, also described how she confronted the situation by asking her husband to call the woman involved. She has previously spoken about dealing with both her father’s death and her husband’s infidelity around 2013, reported Christian Post in an 2015 article. In the years since, the pair had publicly credited their faith with helping them navigate marital difficulties.
