'Love Island USA' renewed for Season 9 at Peacock; Season 8 reunion set to stream August 31

‘Love Island USA’ fans have more drama to look forward to as Peacock has renewed the popular reality dating series for Season 9. The renewal comes as viewers prepare for the highly anticipated Season 8 reunion, which is set to stream on Peacock on August 31. The reunion will give fans another chance to see the Season 8 cast together and revisit some of the season’s biggest romances, conflicts and memorable moments. Meanwhile, the Season 9 renewal ensures the hit franchise will continue with a new group of Islanders searching for love, connections and the next unforgettable reality TV moment. Ariana Madix, who recently received her first Emmy nomination for her work on the dating series, is set to return as the show’s host.

The latest season of ‘Love Island USA’ has dominated Peacock’s summer streaming lineup, with the platform reporting that Season 8 has been its No. 1 streaming title of Summer 2026 so far. The season premiere alone generated more than 19 billion minutes of viewing, while the series also attracted a significant number of first-time viewers, with newcomers accounting for 35% of its audience. At the end of the season, Trinity Celeste Tatum and Bryce Alakai Dettloff were crowned the winners and took home the show’s $100,000 cash prize.



The Season 9 renewal is part of Peacock’s broader plans for the Love Island franchise. The streamer previously renewed ‘Love Island Games’ for a third season, with Ariana Madix returning to host the spinoff in Fall 2027. Peacock has also ordered another season of ‘Love Island Beyond the Villa,’ which follows former Islanders as they navigate life and fame after leaving the villa.

Before the next season arrives, fans will get one more opportunity to revisit the highs and lows of Season 8. The ‘Love Island USA’ Season 8 Reunion will bring the Islanders back together to look back at the season’s memorable moments. Madix will host the reunion alongside Andy Cohen.

The special is scheduled to stream on Peacock on Monday, August 31, at 9 PM ET/6 PM PT. The series is produced by ITV America in partnership with Lifted Entertainment and Motion Entertainment, a WPP Media Company, with ITV Studios handling distribution.
