Along with the teaser trailer, the anime introduced four additional characters. These include Michika Narumi, a first-year high school student who attends a different school from the main character and works at a cat café in the same building as Hedgehog; Majikarumomorin Gōda, an 18-year-old who ends up living at Hedgehog; Gao, a streamer who runs the GaoChube channel; and Beruna, Gao’s maid and secret spy.
The original Ichijoma Mankitsu Gurashi! Manga has been serialized in Houbunsha’s Manga Time Kirara magazine since December 2018. Four volumes of the series have been published in Japan so far. The anime is directed by Toshinori Watanabe (Tokyo Ghoul) at studio PRA. Tatsuya Takahashi is handling series composition, Fumiya Uehara (9-nine- Ruler’s Crown) is in charge of character designs, and music is being composed by MONACA.
