In a heartfelt Facebook post, Moon’s family remembered him as a devoted husband and father whose influence extended far beyond music. “We feel singularly blessed to have been able to call him dad and husband,” the statement read. “He has left an unmistakable legacy and will be profoundly missed by us, his family, and countless others whose lives he impacted.”

The family said they are tentatively planning to celebrate Moon’s life on his birthday, February 7, in the Los Angeles area, with another memorial to follow later in his hometown in Wisconsin.
