A legal dispute between Ronnie Radke, frontman of rock band Falling in Reverse, and internet personality Brittany Furlan has escalated significantly after Radke filed a temporary restraining order against Furlan in Los Angeles Superior Court on January 5, 2026. The move comes amid renewed public claims by Furlan related to a catfishing incident from 2025, which both parties have framed very differently, setting the stage for a high‑profile legal and social media clash.

According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Radke’s legal petition alleges that Furlan engaged in repeated harassment following her renewed social media posts about their past controversy.

Radke contends that after he ignored her messages, Furlan drove to his home and sat outside, and even followed him to a doctor’s appointment, where she allegedly waited outside and stared at him. In response, he is asking the court to require Furlan to stay at least 100 yards away from him at all times.

Radke’s filings describe persistent contact that he says made him feel unsafe and compelled him to seek legal protection. These filings follow a series of public social media interactions where Furlan shared screenshots and content suggesting Radke was directly involved in past messaging she received.

Backstory: Catfishing allegations and public drama

The current dispute traces back to May 2025, when Furlan first claimed she was catfished by someone posing as Radke through Snapchat messages. Furlan said she believed she was chatting with him online while she and her husband, Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee, were separated, a situation that contributed to relationship strain.

Radke denied that he ever messaged her, asserting that another individual was using fake accounts, and even claimed he contacted the FBI regarding the impersonation.

At the time, Furlan publicly acknowledged the catfishing incident and said she had been honest with Lee about it, with some reports noting that the episode ultimately brought them closer.

However, in early January, she reignited the controversy by implying that the accounts in question actually belonged to Radke, a claim he firmly refutes.

Furlan’s response: Denial and legal defense

Furlan’s attorney, Lou Shapiro, issued a statement labeling Radke’s restraining order petition “frivolous” and offensive, asserting that Furlan is the actual victim of harassment. According to Shapiro, Furlan has faced a pattern of online bullying and false public statements that prompted multiple cease‑and‑desist notices in May 2025, notices that were acknowledged but, the attorney contends, did not stop the behavior.

Shapiro stated that Furlan intends to defend herself vigorously and seek protection from any further threats or harassment by Radke.

Current status

As of now, the restraining order petition remains a civil matter, and neither side’s full evidence has been presented publicly. The dispute has played out extensively on social media, with both parties sharing screenshots and commentary that supporters and critics have dissected online.

The case is expected to move through the courts in the coming weeks, where judges will consider whether there is sufficient basis for a temporary restraining order.
