"Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos is here and this is exciting. It is his first time in a theater," Conan joked.
"This is what they’re talking about! ‘Why are they all here together enjoying themselves? They should be home alone where I can monetize it!!!" Conan further said.
Sarandos seems to have a good sense of humor as he took the joke in good spirits, bursting into loud laughter.
Early in his monologue, Conan also joked that he could end up being the last human host of the ceremony.
After earning strong reviews for his hosting debut last year, O’Brien - the 62-year-old former writer for Saturday Night Live and The Simpsons, longtime talk show host, and podcaster - was quickly rehired.
