Bobby J. Brown death: Cause of death
Speaking to TMZ, Brown's daughter said that her father died of smoke inhalation, so they believe he did not suffer from the severe burns he incurred from the terrible blaze. The Maryland Office of the Chief Medical Examiner told TMZ that Brown's cause of death was ruled diffuse thermal injury and smoke inhalation. The outlet was also told that his death was accidental.
The fatal blaze erupted after Brown entered the barn to jump-start a vehicle. A few minutes later, Brown called a family member for a fire extinguisher. But before the family could get to the barn to douse the fire, it was already engulfed in flames. His wife suffered severe burns while making attempts to save him.
Known for his role as Baltimore cop Bobby Brown on HBO’s The Wire, the actor also has other credits to his name, including "Law & Order: SVU" and "We Own This City."
