Arrested, bailed, and now sentenced: ‘How I Met Your Mother’ Actor Nick Pasqual learns his fate for attempted murder of ex-girlfriend
Actor Nick Pasqual received a 32-year prison sentence for attempting to murder his ex-girlfriend, Allie Shehorn. Pasqual broke into Shehorn's home and brutally attacked her. This incident occurred shortly after his release from jail for a previous...

The attack occurred in May 2024, after Allie Shehorn, a Hollywood makeup artist, had ended her relationship with Pasqual. Prosecutors said Pasqual broke into Shehorn’s Sunland home, where he brutally beat and repeatedly stabbed her, before being arrested later at a Texas border checkpoint. Just days before the stabbing, Pasqual had been released from jail following an earlier arrest tied to an alleged violent altercation with Shehorn.
In court filings, prosecutors accused Pasqual “of “inflicting great bodily injury upon the victim (Shehorn) under circumstances involving domestic violence,” as quoted by PEOPLE. Shehorn was discovered with more than 20 stab wounds, lying in a pool of blood, according to PEOPLE, which cited the Los Angeles Times. She had previously sought a restraining order against Pasqual, alleging domestic violence.
During Pasqual’s trial, Shehorn appeared in court with visible scars and testified about the attack, ABC reported. In her testimony, she told the court that prior to the stabbing, she was in a violent fight with Pasqual, leading to their breakup. "I locked the door, and he just started punching holes in that door and broke that open,” she said, as quoted by ABC. “I just ran into the bathroom because I thought there was another lock on that door.”
Pasqual was arrested after an earlier incident but was released from jail on $50,000 bail just five days before the stabbing of Shehorn. Known for brief appearances on television, including an episode of “How I Met Your Mother,” Pasqual’s acting career contrasted sharply with the accomplishments of Shehorn, a Hollywood makeup artist whose credits include Mean Girls, Rebel Moon, and Babylon.
