The posts suggested that the duo had been involved romantically and even claimed they were seen together on luxury trips.

However, credible fact-checks have confirmed that this claim is entirely false, and the image in question is artificial intelligence (AI) generated, not real.

The origin of this widespread content appears to trace back to a satirical Instagram account, @thedudehumorreport, which published a parody post stating that Atkinson and Khalifa had been secretly dating since summer 2025.

That post included a fabricated narrative about private yacht trips and discreet getaway photos. Despite the satire label in the account’s bio, many reshared the content without context, fueling viral spread.

AI-generated image confirmed

The Quint analysed the viral image, which identified it as AI-generated and not a real photograph of the two celebrities together. There were no credible news reports, official photos, or confirmed sightings supporting the idea that Khalifa and Atkinson had been photographed together in real life.

In addition, reverse image searches did not reveal any authentic originals matching the viral image, further confirming that it was a synthetic creation meant to look plausible.

Public denials by Mia Khalifa

Mia Khalifa herself addressed the rumour directly on her official X (formerly Twitter) account. In a blunt and clear post, she wrote: “guys I am dating a fool but it’s not Mr Bean.”

This humorous clarification underscored that she is in a relationship, just not with Rowan Atkinson.

There has been no public statement from Rowan Atkinson about this particular incident, but given his long-term relationship with actress Louise Ford and his family life (he and Ford have been together since 2013 and share a child), the suggestion of a secret romance was widely dismissed as unfounded.
