Goyal said localised supply disruptions, whether from LPG shortages, weather events, or other similar factors, redistribute demand across the platform rather than suppress it for the whole business.
"The breadth of restaurant selection across cuisines, price points, and geographies means customers have alternatives within the app," he said, adding that some restaurants in affected pockets faced temporary disruption but platform-level throughput remained intact.
His comments come amid concerns regarding the shortage of cooking gas in parts of the country due to the West Asia conflict. Multiple restaurants had closed or reduced their operating hours towards the beginning of the conflict, which impacted order volumes for food delivery services like Zomato.
Eternal, on Wednesday, reported a threefold on-year increase in operating revenues for the March quarter, at Rs 17,292 crore, while net profit rose 4.5 times to Rs 174 crore.
