Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal teases brain blood flow monitor Temple
Deepinder Goyal, founder and CEO of Zomato's parent company Eternal, on Sunday shared a first look at his new product, a brain blood flow monitoring device called 'Temple'.

The device has drawn attention since Goyal was seen wearing a small golden sensor on his forehead. He explained in a LinkedIn post that 'Temple' is an "experimental device" designed to measure brain blood flow accurately, in real time, and on a continuous basis.
Goyal developed the device while researching his "Gravity Ageing Hypothesis." This theory suggests that gravity may directly influence human aging. He outlined this idea last month, stating he was sharing it out of scientific curiosity.
According to Goyal, he is examining the links between three factors: how standing upright may reduce blood flow to the brain, the sensitivity of brain regions like the hypothalamus and brainstem to circulation changes, and how these regions control the aging process. He believes these connections could offer a new perspective on aging.
Goyal has been using the 'Temple' device for a year and sees its potential as a global health tool. He noted that brain blood flow is already recognized as a key indicator for aging, longevity, and cognitive health. Therefore, he believes 'Temple' could be valuable even if his gravity-based aging theory is not proven.
