Contract manufacturing services provider Zetwerk on Thursday said it has secured an order with Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) to set up over 1,400 electric vehicle (EV) chargers with a capacity of 50-60 kW and 100-120 kW across the country.

The Bengaluru-based contract manufacturing managed marketplace said these EV chargers will be the DC dual gun CCS2 DC chargers that can charge two vehicles simultaneously with a dynamic load-sharing mode.

“These charging stations will be deployed as per requirement across IOC outlets, providing a seamless charging experience,” Abhay Adya, business head – renewables at Zetwerk, said in a statement.

The company claimed this was a “significant win” as it has been expanding its reach in the renewable energy sector and has been associated with the setting up of Bangladesh’s largest solar power plant.

With this association, Zetwerk said it is supporting IOC’s aspiration to become a 360-degree energy solutions provider, actively investing in the emerging trends in mobility such as EVs.

“As part of its long term ESG goals, IndianOil is on a powerful mission for empowering consumers with options for embracing clean energy solutions, reducing carbon footprint as well as the cost of transportation," Zetwerk said.
