Israel-based Xtend Ai and Bengaluru-based Advance Mechanical Services Pvt Ltd (AMS-India), an MSME entity, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to co-develop and manufacture service robots. Supported by the Government of Israel and the Karnataka Digital Economy Mission (KDEM), the collaboration aims to enhance healthcare access, create high-skilled jobs, and strengthen India-Israel trade ties.

“This partnership with Xtend Ai and AMS-India marks a significant step towards transforming Karnataka's healthcare ecosystem through cutting-edge robotics,” the state’s IT-BT minister, Priyank Kharge, said on Tuesday. He added that this collaboration will create high-skilled jobs and strengthen the state's position as a leader in digital health and medical robotics.

The partnership will initially focus on a pilot project at Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical College (Bowring Hospital), improving hospital workflows such as patient registration and casualty management. Plans include deploying robotic nurse-assistants and telemedicine kiosks across rural districts and urban healthcare centres.

Xtend Ai’s modular AI-powered robots and AMS-India’s expertise in robotics and automation will develop healthcare, hospitality, and manufacturing solutions. The companies aim to scale the initiative statewide, with future projects integrating robotics for infection control, medical training, and smart urban infrastructure.

“By leveraging our Cassini product line of service robots and telemedicine kiosks, Karnataka can significantly enhance healthcare accessibility and efficiency, addressing critical gaps in both rural and urban settings,” said Harry Fox, CEO, Xtend Ai.
