Workday said ‌on ‌Monday co-founder Aneel Bhusri ‌will return as the company's CEO and Carl Eschenbach will step down from the role, ‌effective immediately.

Shares ‍of the ‍company fell more than ‌5% in premarket trading.

The move comes as the human resources software provider looks ‍to leverage artificial intelligence ‍to ⁠stand ⁠out amid strong competition from rivals looking to grow market share.
