WhatsApp down: WhatsApp was hit by a major outage on Monday, with thousands of users across India struggling to send messages or upload status updates.

Meta-owned messaging platform WhatsApp was hit by a major outage on Monday, with thousands of users across India struggling to send messages or upload status updates.

According to outage-tracking website Downdetector, there were 410 reports by 2:20 p.m.

Out of these reports, 46% of users reported issues with server connection, 28% were unable to browse the website, and 26% experienced lag in the application.

Users expressed concerns such as group messages not loading, the app repeatedly crashing, and being unable to post status updates.

Meta Platforms has not acknowledged the outage yet.

In April, the Meta-owned platform faced a similar disruption, with 81% of users reporting issues while sending messages.
