WhatsApp down for many in the US; users report connectivity issues

Meta-owned messaging app WhatsApp faced an outage in the US on Friday.

Users reported that the app is not working properly and they are unable to connect. Downdetector received over 1,500 reports on its platform, most of them cited connectivity issues.

It was reported that most of the affected users are in London, however many areas across the UK have been affected. Cities such as Manchester and Glasgow also faced outages.
