Web Werks to invest Rs 20,000 crore on data centre in Bengaluru
Web Werks India proposes to invest Rs 20,000 crore to set up a data centre park here, according to an MoU the company signed with the Karnataka government at the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting at Davos.

The state government signed an MoU with the company at Davos, the CM posted on social media platform X, calling the development a great news. “This is a giant leap in our infrastructure journey. Welcome aboard, Web Werks!,” he said.
Industries Minister MB Patil has led a delegation of officials from Karnataka to Davos where the government has inked other MoUs as well.
An official statement from Patil’s office said the MoUs from seven companies totalled an investment of Rs 22,000 crore. These included proposals from Microsoft to invest on skilling and governance initiatives, and from Hitachi offering to invest in the rural sector.
The Minister said Lulu Group’s MA Yusuf Ali has signed up offering to invest Rs 300 crore in building a export-oriented food processing facility. The group runs a chain of 250 malls and sources about 200 tonnes of fruits and vegetables, including eggplant, okra, guava, chikoo, capsicum, and chilies, from Karnataka in a month. The Group plans to step up its export capacity by focusing on the northern Karnataka region, the minister added.
