Waterfield Advisors, a wealth advisory and multi-family office, has raised $18 million in a funding round led by Jungle Ventures in a primary and secondary infusion mix.

While $15 million is the primary component that will capitalise the firm, the other $3 million will be paid to Waterfield Advisors’ existing investors, who are selling their shares through the process.

The company did not disclose any details on the shareholders selling their stake in this round.

In a statement issued today, Waterfield Advisors said that the fresh capital will be deployed to enhance its technology infrastructure, expand its presence across key financial hubs, and deepen client engagement across various segments within India’s affluent demographic.

Ernst & Young (EY) acted as the exclusive advisor to the transaction.

This round comes after a gap of around three years. In 2022, the company had raised $6 million from TVS Capital Funds, Gaja Capital, and others. According to filings accessed from Tracxn, the company was valued at $64 million after that round of funding.

Waterfield Advisors, which was founded in 2011, said that it offers advisory services on over $5 billion in assets to almost 375 client groups across seven locations.

“Beyond business families, this fundraise enables us to extend our proposition to a broader audience of founders, professionals and women, while also expanding our presence into India’s tier-2 and tier-3 cities and to key markets overseas catering to the Global Indian,” said Soumya Rajan, the company’s founder and chief executive officer.

As India’s wealth landscape evolves, Waterfield Advisors is looking to offer financial services to entrepreneurs, family offices, and ultra high networth individuals.
