Rapido faces tech outage, users report issues in several cities

Rapido users in several Indian cities reported app outages today. The ride-hailing service experienced a brief technical issue affecting many users. Commuters faced difficulties booking rides during peak office hours.

Users across several Indian cities reported an outage on ride-hailing app Rapido.

Posts on X suggested the app was down in Bengaluru, Delhi, Chennai, Hyderabad and Kolkata, among other cities. Users said logging out and back in, as well as deleting and reinstalling the app, did not resolve the issue. The outage came during peak office hours, leaving commuters struggling to book rides and adding to frustration.

Sources told ET that the app suffered a brief technical outage and is now back up.


"Earlier today, some users experienced a brief technical issue while booking rides on the Rapido platform. Our internal teams identified and resolved the issue promptly, and all services have since been fully restored," said a Rapido spokesperson. "We regret any inconvenience caused and thank our users for their continued trust and patience."
