NIRYAT said the State has reached about 90% of the previous financial year’s value ($ 5.37 billion) in a period of seven months of the current financial year 2023-2024 (April - October 2023).

Tamil Nadu's electronics exports during this period is almost double that of Uttar Pradesh which secured the second spot with volumes of $2.58 billion and a 16.65% share of the total electronics exports in the country. Karnataka stood third with $2.29 billion in volume and 14.82% share.
"With exports of ~$4.8 billion already, (Tamil Nadu contributes) 31% of total exports out of India and nearly double of the second-runner state, Tamil Nadu could hit a staggering $8 billion in exports this year, a significant leap from the previous year's $5.37 billion," Tamil Nadu Industries Minister TRB Rajaa said on X (formerly Twitter).
He said that the state's strategic policies, skilled workforce, and robust infrastructure and the 'Dravidian Model' of governance have propelled the state's electronics exports to new heights.
