Student housing platform Good Host Spaces announces collaboration with SpaceBasic

SpaceBasic, an EdTech focused business-to-business software-as-a-service (SaaS) company, and student housing platform Good Host Spaces on Wednesday announced a collaboration, aiming to improve the quality of the latter’s student housing operations.

Good Host Spaces will leverage SpaceBasic’s technology to optimise student housing management. SpaceBasic’s artificial intelligence (AI)-driven technology will personalise student life, bolster security protocols and also analyse student foot traffic and meal consumption patterns, resulting in a substantial reduction in food waste.

SpaceBasic CEO Madhavi Shankar said the company is looking forward to partnering with Good Host Spaces to bring the power of technology to student housing. “This partnership aims to represent a leap in reimagining student living and should set new industry standards,” she said.


Stanley D’britto, chief operating officer of Good Host Spaces, lauded the collaboration as well, saying it would enhance the student living experience. Good Host Spaces operates more than 25,000 beds in various universities across the country, such as Manipal University, OP Jindal Global University and Shoolini University.

Last month, real estate investment and asset management firm Alta Capital acquired Goldman Sachs’ and Warburg Pincus’ 100% stake in Good Host Spaces for nearly Rs 2,700 crore.
