Samsung partners with Paytm to bring travel, entertainment services to Samsung Wallet

Samsung has partnered with One 97 Communications Limited (OCL), which runs fintech firm Paytm, to launch flight, bus, movie, and event ticket bookings on the Samsung Wallet.

This collaboration is to enhance consumer convenience by providing a seamless booking experience directly through Samsung Wallet, according to a statement released on Thursday.

“These features allow Galaxy smartphone users to easily purchase bus and airline tickets, as well as movie and event tickets, without needing to switch between multiple apps,” said Madhur Chaturvedi, senior director, MX Business, Samsung India.


Galaxy smartphone users using the Paytm app for flight, bus, and movie bookings, and the Paytm Insider app for event bookings, will be able to add their tickets directly to Samsung Wallet using the 'Add to Samsung Wallet' functionality. This feature will allow them to conveniently access these tickets when entering airports, bus terminals, cinemas, and event venues.

Users can access the new services by updating their app through the Galaxy Store.

“By combining Samsung's cutting-edge technology with Paytm's wide-ranging services, we are making it easier than ever for consumers to manage their bookings and payments through a single unified platform," a Paytm spokesperson said.
