Samay Raina takes down 'India's Got Latent' from YouTube channel after Ranveer Allahbadia controversy
Standup comic Samay Raina has taken down all episodes of his YouTube show India's Got Latent after it hit the headlines for controversial statements made by influencer and podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia.

"Everything that is happening has been too much for me to handle. I have removed all Indias Got Latent videos from my channel. My only objective was to make people laugh and have a good time. I will fully cooperate with all agencies to ensure their inquiries are concluded fairly. Thank you," his post read.
YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia has faced backlash after making a controversial remark on Raina’s YouTube comedy show. Following the uproar, Allahbadia issued a public apology, terming his comments a mistake.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Allahbadia wrote, “I shouldn’t have said what I said on India’s Got Latent. I’m sorry.” He also released a video in which he said, “My comment wasn’t appropriate. It wasn’t even funny. Comedy is not my forte.”
India's Got Latent is a talent show, similar to other Got Talent franchises, with contestants performing in front of a panel of judges who evaluate their acts. As per the show's rating system, contestants rate themselves before performing, and if the judges' ratings match the contestant's self-rating, they win. While the show has gained popularity, it has been under scrutiny for inappropriate and vulgar language used by the comedians on the panels.
