Salesforce India employees expand to 17,000
Customer relationship management (CRM)-focused tech major Salesforce has expanded its India employee base to over 17,000 on the back of strong business growth, a top official said on Tuesday.

The San Francisco-headquartered company had last reported an employee base of over 14,000 people in November 2025, stating that they are spread across offices in Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Pune, and Jaipur.

Speaking at the Agentforce world tour in the country's financial capital, Arundhati Bhattacharya, Salesforce's President and Chief Executive for South Asia, said the overall staff base for the company has crossed 17,000 employees in 2026.


She said the company's overall revenues have jumped over 47 per cent to USD 1.5 billion.

The career baker, who went on to lead the tech company after retiring as the chairman of SBI, added that the company has donated over USD 10 million to social causes in the region and the employees have put in over 6 lakh hours of volunteering work.

It supports over 850 non-profits with its commercial offerings, and has also vowed to skill 1 lakh people with AI skills by the end of 2026, she said.

The company also announced the launch of Agentforce voice in Hindi that will help entities deliver more natural and inclusive AI-powered customer experiences at scale across India.

Bhattacharya said work is also on to extend the service to other Indian languages as well and more indian languages will get added in the next few months.

Meanwhile, the company also announced that it has signed Tata Realty as a new client on the Agentforce platform.

The service is being used to deliver round-the-clock customer service and real-time intelligence, and the first response times have reduced from days to eight hours, as per a statement
