Consistent policy focus and execution have made Karnataka India's leading GCC hub, state IT/BT minister Priyank Kharge said on Thursday.
His statement comes in the wake of a Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) report which says that with over 875 global capability centres, Bengaluru dominates the GCC space.
"The strong performance in startup funding and Bengaluru's continued dominance in GCC-led office absorption reflect the confidence global companies and investors have in the state's vision for a future-ready, innovation-led economy," the minister said in a statement.
According to the FICCI report published earlier this month, Bengaluru leads with more than 29% of the nation's GCCs. The city captured over a third of India's GCC leasing in 2025, followed by Pune (15%). Delhi-NCR and Hyderabad each accounted for 14%, said the report
Karnataka’s GCC policy offers a raft of supportive measures to attract investments.
As of December 2025, the total grade A office stock across India’s top seven cities stood at approximately 800 million square feet. Of this, Bengaluru had the largest share, around 27%, followed by the national capital region (NCR) at 19%.
"What sets Bengaluru apart is not just scale, but our ecosystem maturity," Kharge said. He added that a strong network of startups, globally competitive talent, a robust innovation ecosystem, connectivity, and the ability to deliver large-scale, green infrastructure quickly continue to make the city the natural home for the world's most advanced GCCs.
