NTT to develop driverless vehicles with Toyota, invest $67 million in US startup: report

NTT will deliver autonomous buses and taxis by as early as 2025, the report from Nikkei said, adding that it will invest about 10 billion yen ($66.91 million) in US transport company May Mobility.

Japanese telecommunication company NTT will develop driverless vehicles in collaboration with Toyota Motor and invest in a US startup developing self-driving systems, the Nikkei business daily reported on Monday.

NTT will deliver autonomous buses and taxis by as early as 2025, the report said, adding that it will invest about 10 billion yen ($66.91 million) in US transport company May Mobility, based in Michigan.
