NetApp elevates Vasanthi Ramesh as India MD

Data infrastructure company NetApp has elevated Vasanthi Ramesh as managing director for India.

In addition to her existing role as VP, engineering, unified manageability framework, Ramesh will shoulder a broader leadership role, overseeing the company’s strategic initiatives in the region and driving growth and innovation.

In her new role, Ramesh will lead NetApp India’s site operations with a focus on organisational initiatives such as NetApp Excellerator and Academia Connect. She will also focus on enhancing the company’s engagement with GCC platforms and industry bodies.

With nearly three decades of experience in consumer technology and enterprise software, Ramesh has helped shape NetApp’s manageability and data protection portfolio, coming up with solutions that serve customers across both public clouds and traditional data centres.

“My journey at NetApp has been incredibly rewarding, and I’m elated about this opportunity to lead our next phase of growth in India,” she said.

Ramesh is an alumnus of University of Hyderabad, where she graduated with a degree in Statistics. She also has a master’s in computer science from the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
