Absolute Sports, a unit of media and gaming firm Nazara Technologies, acquired the entire assets of US-based gaming content firm Deltias Gaming for $900,000 (Rs 7.5 crore).

Absolute Sports also runs Sportskeeda and Pro Football Network, which are among the most popular gaming and sports news sites under Nazara.

Deltias Gaming posted revenue of nearly Rs 5 crore in the 12 months ended June and has a monthly readership base of nearly 1.5 million, Nazara said in a statement.


"With this acquisition, Absolute Sports will now serve upwards of 5 million US gaming enthusiasts with high quality gaming and esports related news and analysis content on our various properties,” said Ajay Pratap Singh, chief executive of Absolute Sports.

In the past few months, Nazara has made several acquisitions, particularly through its esports and events arm, Nodwin, including events firm Comic Con India, West Asia and Turkey-focused marketing firm Publishme, Singapore-based events firm Branded, and Turkish esports and gaming firm Ninja Global.

ET reported on March 13 that Nazara was setting aside about Rs 830 crore for mergers and acquisitions in markets like India, Europe, and North America.
