Moglix appoints Amit Kumar as MD and chief business officer

B2B industrial commerce and deeptech platform Moglix has appointed Amit Kumar as its managing director and chief business officer.

Kumar joins Moglix's central leadership team with a mandate to build and scale the company's emerging business segments and new opportunity areas. He brings over two decades of experience across business leadership, management consulting and enterprise transformation to the table.

Most recently, Kumar served as group CEO and executive director at Symphony, where he led the company’s overall P&L growth, supply chain restructuring, and large-scale digital adoption across the organisation over nearly five years.


Before Symphony, Kumar held senior roles at KPMG India, EY, and PwC across domains such as consumer durables, automotive, chemicals, steel, FMCG, and diversified industrials, advising enterprises on operations improvement, procurement, manufacturing, and business transformation.

Kumar began his career with GE Aircraft Engines in their new-product development team. He also co-founded a data analytics company focused on business modelling and advanced analytics for enterprise clients.

Commenting on his appointment in the same release, Kumar said, "Being part of Moglix at this stage, contributing to building a disruptor of global scale from India, is an opportunity that does not come often. That is what brought me here."
