Data from the outage detection platform shows that 64% of users have reported problems logging into their Instagram accounts, while 25% are facing server connection issues and 12% are experiencing application errors.

Downdetector tracks outages by collating status reports from several sources, including user-submitted errors on its platform.


Users react

Netizens took to social media platform X to share their concerns and frustration. One user wrote, “#instagram is down for thousands of users in India, leaving many without their daily scroll fix. Here's hoping the outage is fixed before we all remember what the real world looks like.”

As of now, there has been no official statement from Meta regarding the cause or duration of the outage.

Earlier this year, Instagram experienced an outage that affected thousands of users. At the peak of the incident, more than 5,000 users in the United States reported issues accessing the photo-sharing platform, according to data from Downdetector.
