Lucid trims 12% of workforce as it seeks profitability: Report
Lucid is laying off 12% of its workforce to "improve operational effectiveness and optimize our resources as we continue on our path toward profitability," TechCrunch reported on Friday, citing an internal memo.

Lucid said on Friday it was laying off 12% of its US workforce as the electric-vehicle maker seeks to improve gross margin and long-term growth.
The company had about 6,800 full-time employees globally, as of December 31, 2024.
The cuts will not impact hourly production employees at the company's manufacturing facility in Arizona, a Lucid spokesperson said in a statement.
