Mumbai-based professional networking startup for women Leap.club, which had raised funding from the likes of Titan Capital, Artha India Ventures, and Whiteboard Capital, has shut shop. Its cofounder Ragini Das has joined Google India as head of startups.

In May this year, Das had announced in a LinkedIn post about pausing operations of Leap.club, which was started in 2020 to help working women expand their network, find jobs, build an audience, and make friends. It had over 25,000 paid members.

The company, which was meant to be a social-professional network for women, had raised $2.2 million from VCs and angel investors.

Das announced on Monday that she has joined Google. In her new role, she will help connect startup founders with resources, products, and networks to help them grow.

“When we paused operations in June this year, I wasn't sure what the next decade would look like,” she wrote in a LinkedIn post. “Sometime in August, I came across a role at Google that perfectly aligned with my journey.”

Before founding Leap.club, Das was a part of Zomato’s global growth team for the platform’s Gold membership programme.
