Koo publishes compliance report for July, says took steps to 'proactively moderate' 65,280 posts
Koo said the report aims to bring transparency to the process of enabling compliance requirements on social media.

Koo said the report, published second month in a row, aims to bring transparency to the process of enabling compliance requirements on social media.
The company said the report for July shows that of the 3,431 Koo posts reported by the community, 14.5% (498) were removed, while other action was taken against the rest of the 2,933 posts.
Koo said it took steps to 'proactively moderate' 65,280 Koo posts, of which 2.9% (1,887) were removed while other action was taken against the rest – 63,393. ‘Other action’ includes overlay, blur, ignore, warn, etc., related to Koo posts that do not comply with the Indian government guidelines, the company said.
Last month, following the furore over Twitter's blue-tick verification applications and the selection criteria, Koo had said it was calling on users to apply for ‘Eminence’, its yellow tick verification mechanism on the platform.
Koo had said the yellow tick “recognises and celebrates a user’s eminence, stature, achievements, abilities and professional standing."
"It implies that the user is well-regarded in the Indian framework, be it an artist, scholar, sportsperson, politician, businessperson or a user from any other field," the company had said in a statement.
