Karnataka govt greenlights tech park in Mangaluru on PPP basis

The state Cabinet on Thursday decided to build an IT park at Blueberry Hills in Mangaluru on a private public partnership (PPP) basis.

The IT-BT (biotechnology) department, said in a post on X that the government would develop 3.28 acres of prime land on a budget of Rs 135 crore. The project will be awarded on a design, build, finance, operate, and transfer (DBFOT) basis.

The project is expected to add about 11,000 direct and indirect jobs.


The park will attract IT, fintech, and marinetech businesses, as also GCC investments, the post added.

IT-BT minister Priyank Kharge, speaking at an event in Mangaluru recently, had said that the park will transform Mangaluru into a thriving technology hub.
