In India, fantasy gaming is top of screen, and mind too

With over 300 fantasy sports platforms and over 18 crore users, India is the fastest growing FS market in the
world, with a user base that is almost three times that of North America, as per a new study.

The fantasy sports industry in India is 20-years-old and reported revenues of `6,800 crore in FY22 — almost tripling from FY20.

The report, Fantasy Sports’ is brought out by the Federation of Indian Fantasy Sports (FIFS) in collaboration with professional services firm, Deloitte India.

Fantasy Sports (FS) are team-selection contests where users create teams of real-life players that compete
against other similar online teams. The results are tabulated based on the performance of the real-life sportspersons in official or live matches.
