HPE plans to place global leadership in Karnataka: Govt

American multinational IT corporation HP Enterprise which currently employs 8,000 people in Karnataka is considering placing its global leadership in Karnataka, State industries minister MB Patil's office said in a statement on Thursday.

It stated that the two new buildings at Mahadevapura (Whitefield) in Bengaluru would be unveiled soon, as per Patil's office.

This location is set to become the largest concentration of HPE facilities globally, nearly double the size of its next biggest site.


NTT Data company which has invested $900 million across its group companies in Karnataka, plans to further invest $2 billion in the upcoming years and reiterated its commitment to achieving 100% renewable energy usage by the year 2030.

High-profile meetings of the Karnataka delegation on day three of the World Economic Forum 2024 at Davos, Switzerland, included discussions with companies such as Genatri, HCL Technologies, Cisco, Swiggy, Volvo Cars, among others.

Ab InBev India which has a presence in Karnataka, has evinced interest for a $50 million (Rs 400 crore) investment to enhance and expand their brewery operations in the State, a statement from Karnataka industries minister's office said.

The executives of Ab InBev shared this during the meeting with the delegation led by Patil on Wednesday.

The company which features a brewery in Mysuru and a Global Capability Centre in Whitefield, Bengaluru, has intended to further scale its operations in Karnataka.
